Project Proteus: Innovation for a sustainable future “Made in Berlin”

We are pleased to give you an insight today into our current research and development work at ABSORA GmbH!

With our project “Proteus”, we are working on the future of industrial acoustics. We are researching a modular and highly automated manufacturing system for our adaptive metamaterials (Absora-sheet). Our goal is to replace conventional absorbers with sustainable, 100% recyclable metal solutions.

Our project goals in focus:

Building a highly efficient, automated production.
Validating high-speed micro-perforation processes.
Strengthening the circular economy at the industrial location of Berlin.

Expected results: Through the industrial research within Proteus, we will be able to mass-produce high-performance sound absorbers that set new standards both ecologically and economically.
